How it works
Three steps to better focus. That's the whole study app.
1. Name the thing
Type the task you're avoiding. LockIn scores it URGENT to LOW so you know what to hit first.
2. Lock in
Fullscreen timer, no distractions, no notifications. Just you and the work.
3. Get rewarded
XP, levels, streaks and a leaderboard spot. Procrastinating costs you rank.

Why it works
A study method and productivity system, not just a timer
LockIn is built around the things that reliably improve focus for students: small timed blocks, clear priorities, real breaks and daily consistency.
Focus sessions beat open-ended studying
"Study biology" has no finish line, so it's hard to start. A 25 or 45-minute block does, which is the same reason the Pomodoro technique has worked for students for decades. LockIn runs 15, 25, 45 and 60-minute sessions fullscreen, with a custom length if you want one, and only counts a session when you finish it.
Know what to study first
Every task gets scored from three things: how close the deadline is, how difficult it is, and how confident you feel. You get a LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH or URGENT label plus a suggested number of study blocks โ so the hardest, closest thing gets your attention instead of the subject you enjoy most.
Consistency has a scoreboard
Two XP per focused minute, levels as the XP adds up, and a streak that only survives if you study every day. Ninety consistent minutes a day beats three all-nighters, and the streak is there for the days motivation isn't.
A plan for when you've left it too late
Panic Mode takes your topics, the hours you have left and your confidence, and turns them into a timed block plan for the time that actually remains. It won't make up for a lost month, but it beats staring at the whole syllabus at 11pm.

FAQ
Common questions about LockIn
โธIs LockIn free?
Yes. Focus sessions, Panic Mode, the study timer, exam countdown, attendance calculator, typing test and click speed test are free. Free accounts get 2 focus sessions a day; Pro removes the limit and unlocks the grade and GPA calculators.
โธDo I need an account?
No. Everything starts working immediately and your progress is saved on your device. An account adds cloud backup and the global leaderboard, and carries your existing progress over.
โธHow long should a study session be?
25 minutes works well for new or heavy material, 45 for problem sets and essays. LockIn offers 15, 25, 45 and 60-minute blocks plus a custom length.
โธHow is XP earned?
Two XP per focused minute, awarded only when the block finishes. 25 minutes = 50 XP. XP builds levels, and one session a day keeps your streak alive.
โธCan I use LockIn for the Pomodoro technique?
Yes. The 25-minute preset with breaks between blocks is the classic Pomodoro cycle, and the longer presets suit deeper work.
